Join Voyageurs Conservancy and local educator and geologist Chris Hemstad for a hike through the geologic formations at Voyageurs National Park. The day will include a short presentation on the formation of Voyageurs, nearly 2.8 billion years ago. The group will then caravan a short distance to a site where we will walk and view multiple examples of geologic formations common to Voyageurs National Park.

TIME: 9 - 11:30 AM
WHERE: Meet at Rainy Lake Visitor Center
Be Prepared:
Wear comfortable shoes and clothes appropriate for the weather.
Bring sunscreen and bug spray if desired.
Bring a water bottle.
The walk will not be strenuous, but we will be on our feet walking and standing for 60-90 minutes.
Registration is required and will be capped at 25 participants.
